IMAGES OF INDONESIA

I interviewed my classmates on what they do during their free time, their favorite sport and their favorite food and drinks. In this report you will not only find out what people eat, drink or do during their free time, but you will also find out what people these days are like and how supportive of their country they really are.
Now let’s talk about food, about 60% of my classmates like foreign food and drinks like cinnamon roll, sushi, pasta, coca-cola, etc., while the other 40% likes Indonesian food such as, traditional fried rice, sate Padang, teh botol, opor ayam, etc. These results alone can tell us that most Indonesians rather eat fast food rather than Indonesian food; for example, if we go to the mall we often eat KFC, A&W, Hoka Hoka Bento, Sushi and other foreign food.
What do teenagers do during their free time? Well, most of the people I interviewed usually sleep or play computer during their free time, although, some people prefer texting or playing with their blackberry. We can see that technology plays a great part in our lives and no one can live without them. We can also see that teenagers these days have a lazy lifestyle, only a handful of people exercise, plant trees, or clean their neighborhood during their free time and I think, that quality should be planted in every Indonesians.
As for sports, almost all of my classmates like foreign sports like baseball, chess, football, etc. From my interview, no one likes Indonesian sports like, congklak, etc. From this interview we can conclude that Indonesian teenagers follow western traditions rather than Indonesia traditions. I think this kind of attitude should be removed from our heads and let Indonesian culture fill it back in. By reeducating our way of life we can improve this country and what better way to do that then doing Indonesian things and eating Indonesian food.

IMAGE OF LABSKY: FAST FOOD

The aim of this report is to find out how often do Labsky’s students consuming fast foods. This report’s information and data is based on several people of Labsky’s students that I interviewed. The questions that I asked are about how often do they consuming fast food and the reason why they consume it. Also which fast foods do they’re often to eat.

Well, mostly people that I interviewed are answered that they consume fast food three times in a week, and the others are answered once or twice in a week. All of them are said that the reason they consume it is because fast food is practice and sometimes there’s no food at home, so, they delivery it, and fast food doesn’t cost a lot of money. One of fast foods that they often eat is McD, KFC, and burger.

From the information above, we can conclude that there are still many students in Labsky who often consume fast food. They still consume it even though they know the damage of it. Fast food is high in sodium, saturated fat, trans fat, and cholesterol. Eating too much over a long period time can bring a bad impact for our health, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and obesity. So, from now on, we have to starting a healthy lifestyle, like trying to eat less fast food and eat more nourishing food, such as fruits and vegetables.

IMAGE OF INDONESIA

The aim of this report is to present what is popular in Indonesia. I interviewed some of my friends  and all the people in my family. The questions concerned about food and music.

Food: Over three-quarters prefer indonesian food. there are many indonesian traditional food, like gado-gado, sayat, nasi padang, etc. i interviewed my family, what kind of food they like. And my parents prefer satay and mi juhi. My siblings prefer nasi padang and nasi goreng. I also interviewed some of my friends. 1-2 peoples likes meatballs, 3-5 peoples likes satay, and the others prefer to western food and japanese food. My opinion a majority people in indonesia prefer to indonesian food, i also likes indonesian food. However, even there're many traditional indonesian food that i haven't taste yet. But i' m sure it will be tasty and delicious, and i will eat indonesain traditional food someday.

Music: I got a unique answer from this question. When i interviewed them, only my brother and my father who likes indonesian 80th-90th old music. My sister prefer to western and spanish music. I also interviewed some of my friends. No one of them likes indonesian music, they prefer to western and asian music. 1-2 peoples likes japanese music, 4-6(including me) likes korean music. and the other prefer to western music. My opinion mostly teenagers-ecspecially teenage girls- in indoensia prefer to korean or western music than indonesian music. According of those interviewed, did we know that indonesia have a lots of traditional and original music? well, maybe we know 'Dangdut' is the original genre music in indonesia, but my opnion, only the villagers who likes dangdut. We know that indonesian have a lots of traditional music, like Cik-Cik Periuk, Gundul Pacul, O Ina Ni Keke, etc. And we have to conserve our indonesian traditional music.

The surprising aspect of the report is that large number likes indonesian food. I was also surprising to find out that is lots of my friends listened to korean and western music than indonesian music. We can listened to western or korean music, but we have to know that indonesia still have a lots of beautiful traditional music

Images of Indonesia

Every day, things get expanded. One of the biggest things that rapidly expanded is knowledge, especially for technology, usually known as ICT (nformation Communication and Technology). As an example, ten years ago, there are many people who use type machine to type something, also telephone and mail to communicate with other people in other place – which is probably far. That might take a long time, especially if we’re using mail. Comparing to these days, with only rely on a hand phone or PC tablet, everything were possible to be done in a count of minute.

Teenagers were the biggest consumers of those utilities – called gadgets. Based on the survey and short interviews I’ve done to high school students, can be proved that all of them –minimum– are using smart phone. Most of them, said the reason they use it is to ease communicating. But, there’s also some respondents said they use it just because to following the recent trends.

Gadgets are also everything to some of those respondents. They said that gadgets affect their life a lot. They confessed that they can’t live without their gadget surrounds them. Behind those reasons, we could simply conclude that they hardly ever socialize with anyone, directly. They only socialized by IM (Instant Messaging) or by SMS (Short Message Service). So don’t be surprised if we’re asking some teenagers about their neighbors, they would say "I do not know them at all".

As a conclusion, all we have to do is minimize the usage of our gadgets. In my opinion, this less using gadget (which is using electricity also) could save our energy. Besides, the radiations from the gadget could endanger our eyes. In the end, only use your gadgets if it is necessary, and not over using.

What’s on our mind if we hear the word “football”? Maybe the boys will think ‘it’s a really fun sport to do! I love football!’ or ‘it’s a game where we must play it seriously. Where we must make a goal.’ But, what about the girls? I’m sure that there will be many answer from the girls for this sport. That’s what this report is to tell all the readers about the girls thought, interest, and knowledge about football! This is the report from a survey from girls in Indonesia!

So, what is football? Most of them answered that football is a sport that’s played with two team. Each team have 11 player, that must score a goal to their rivals goal-posts at the field, that’s been protected by a keeper, with some rules to obey. But there’s different answers too like for them, football is just like a basketball, or one of the most popular sport in the world.

Many girls are not interested in football, with many reasons like the field is too big, or just don’t understand football, just following the scores. But some of them can change their mind to be interest if the national team is playing. Or just interest but not a fangirl, or just feeling ordinary but  not addicted.

The most favorite team from the girls that I’ve interviewed are Manchester United, because it’s a good team and because of friend or parent. Then Barcelona and Chelsea are one of the favorite one too, followed with AC Milan. Germany, and of course Indonesia’s national team too! And there’s many players that these girls like. Like Chicharito, Ozil, Gonzales because of they are a good player. Ballack because of he’s a great captain. But, face is one of the reason that Gerard and Pique are one of the favorite players too. But this is a funny one, one of them liked Puyol because of his hair!

There’s many opinion about football in Indonesia, like the national team is getting even better even know its not as good as the other team, but the player have a good talent, and the coach is one of the reason that the team will succeed. And football is like a tradition in Indonesia, like the people here like to watch football together, etc. Indonesia love football!

Well, now we know that girls in Indonesia does know about football. But their intrest at football is not hat big as I hope it will. Even know it's not one of the most favorite sport for girls, but they still know about the teams the players and the scores that have been reached by them. And I'm sure if lots of girls like football, maybe this sport can evolved in Indonesia but not just by the boys, but the girls also :D
